Hangeul, the Korean alphabet, consists of 10 vowels and 14 consonants that are arranged in characters rather than in words. For these reasons, Hangeul is considered to be one of the most logical writing systems in the world. Hangeul was created by King Sejong and it was designated as National Treasure in UNESCO's Memory of the world.
